KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., August 12, 2008 - Nick Pahade, president of gsi
interactive(sm) - a division of GSI Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIC), today announced
that Dorian Sweet has joined the company as vice president/executive creative
director. In this role, Sweet will lead the user experience and design and studio
group. Sweet will report directly to Pahade. gsi interactive, with comprehensive
digital marketing and design offerings, and e-Dialog Inc., a leading e-mail service
provider, comprise GSI's interactive marketing services division.

"Dorian's passion for interactivity and his entrepreneurial spirit embody many of
the values gsi interactive seeks in our people," says Pahade. "He has a unique
ability to foster great ideas that cultivate positive user experiences that are tied
to our clients' business objectives. We are very excited to add Dorian to our

revenue for our partners. gsi interactive provides a comprehensive suite of
interactive marketing and design solutions that helps GSI partners drive significant
revenue across multiple channels. Its services include strategic interactive

\"This is an interesting time for digital marketing; brand agencies are trying to
shoe horn a unifying message into a fragmented online audience and interactive
agencies are trying to embrace audience fragmentation as a core competency," says
Sweet. "With users out there calling the shots more and more each day, the
opportunity to tie user purchase behavior to brand experience is more real than
ever. gsi interactive has created world class commerce solutions and delivered
results for a roster of brand name clients by taking an in-depth look at experience
design. At gsi interactive, the opportunity to walk the talk of interactive branding
and marketing is truly exciting."

Prior to joining gsi interactive, Sweet was executive creative director at Tribal
DDB San Francisco, a top ten international digital marketing agency. Prior to Tribal
DDB Sweet held key creative roles at itraffic/Agency.com, Modem Media, and
BigYellow. Sweet has launched numerous Web sites, microsites, and online campaigns.
